GL Deaf and Hard of Hearing Organization
Members of the squad had the opportunity to visit with the GL Deaf and Hard of Hearing Organization. They are such a great group of kids and teachers! The students prepared a wonderful presentation and taught us basic communications with deaf or hard of hearing people. We were also able to participate with them on scenarios they set up where they would require EMS help (ie, car crashes, falls, broken bones). We also gave a very short presentation on who were are and what we do. We also gave them a tour of the rig and showed them our equipment! What a great Friday!!
