Our crew had a blast standing by at the Our House Run yesterday! Four miles and a few patients later, we hope everyone else enjoyed the day as much as we did. We always have a great time hanging out with the community and providing care when needed.

What a night! We had a great time supporting our friends at the Berkeley Heights YMCA last night at their Special Needs Prom! The dance floor was packed with smiling faces, and the kids had a blast celebrating!

Last weekend, the Squad had a blast at our Annual Installation Dinner! We had many award recipients, but our notable award recipients were Howie Meyer and Michele Young! Howie was awarded his 50 years of service plaque and proclamation from Mayor Angie Devanney and Michele was named Volunteer of the Year by our Chief and President. Congratulations to all award winners!

Cub Scout Lion Den Pack 268 had a very special meeting with the BHVRS at William Woodruff Elementary School. Our members participated in an “Animal Kingdom” adventure which taught the kids what to do in the event of an emergency. Even the parents got involved! Everyone had to match up the emergency — a broken arm or scraped knee — with the correct first aid item. The highlight of the meeting was touring the ambulances and learning how the electronic stretcher worked.

Yesterday, our crew took advantage of the beautiful weather and gave EMS-2 a good scrub! We always strive to have our ambulances in the best condition for our patients.
