Today, the squad was on stand by at the Berkeley Heights Street Fair. We had a great time supporting a fantastic event. It was awesome to see the community come together for such a great day!
The squad had such a fun weekend this weekend!
On Saturday, we attended the Rubber Ducky Festival and painted flower pots for cancer patients with the families that attended the festival. These flower pots will be delivered to the cancer patients receiving treatment at St. Barnabas.
On Sunday, we attended Bikes for Brooke and had a blast participating in the different events going on throughout the day! We hope the community enjoyed the weekend as much as we did!
This morning, our cadets took a trip to the Liberty Science Center to observe a neurosurgery and interact with the neurosurgeon! Our goal is to give our cadets as many opportunities to explore different fields of medicine as we can and allow them to find what they love. Our cadets have been taking this trip for the last few years and always have a great time!
Community CPR is being held again this year at the BHVRS in celebration of EMS week! Here is the link to sign up for the Community CPR classes being held on May 19, 2016 at 7pm and 830pm! We hope to see you there!!
Today, members of the squad and other EMTs came together to finish up our last EMT certification refresher course. We practiced our trauma skills and worked with pieces of equipment that we don’t use on a daily basis. These are some of the happiest car accident patients we’ve ever seen! 😀 If you want to join in on the fun, reach out to us on Facebook or check out the membership section of the website!
